Imperialism Pro and Cons

Imperialism had its pros and cons. When European Countries colonized parts of Africa they brought with them modern technology to a place that didn't have it and they also introduced industrialization into these smaller nations which helped boost the economy. To be able to better transports goods the Europeans also introduced railroads into Africa. This made travel faster and easier which lowered the price of goods and helping the economy. Along with bringing in modern technology European Countries brought in widespread genocide because the African nations resisted the expansions into their territory. These nations also lost their native beliefs and were forced to abide by the rules and religion of the Europeans that controlled them. Many Africans were also sold into slavery and were stripped of their rights.
