Economic Imperialsim

Economic Imperialism is when an independent but less developed nation is controlled by a private business interests rather than by other governments. Economic Imperialism lets the nation maintain its own government but it can only trade with which ever business controls it. An example of this would be when the Dole Fruit company controlled the pineapple trade in Hawaii.
